Adventures in Granola Making

Adventures in Granola

After church yesterday, I was making homemade granola bars for Ryan’s lunches this week. I do this every Sunday afternoon, but this time I decided to see how much Finn could “help” without creating a disaster in the kitchen.

Pretending to pour in the honey (I'd just completed that step).

Really sprinkling the cinnamon.

Excited that he was "pouring" vanilla (don't worry, the lid was on).

Next come the oats.

Chillin' while I stir.

Pretty pleased with his granola-making skills.

One last pat before we pop them in the oven.

I was actually surprised at how much he could “help” for an 18-month old. He even got to taste a little of the fruit of his efforts afterwards.

Next up, he’s gonna start making dinner while I nap in the afternoons. Just kidding…maybe. 😉
