//Guest Series//Homeschooling: A Student’s Perspective

Hey guys! It’s Grace (the student) from Nerd in the Brain. Some people think they can’t homeschool because they’re on a budget. Homeschool Hijinks and Nerd in the Brain are proof that you can. I’m here to tell you what homeschool budgeting is like from a student’s point of view.

As Emily (my teacher) said earlier, it’s not that difficult to homeschool without spending a fortune. But you may be thinking, “What about the student? Is their education suffering?” I can tell you, it’s not. Actually, it’s quite the opposite. Not only am I learning things like math and science, I’m learning important life skills like how to save money.

Nerd in the Brain is also helping my education. My teacher can personalize my literature guides more than before, because she writes them! I also get to test some of the website’s games, which allows me to review while having fun.

So there you have it. You’ve learned ways to save money on a curriculum, how to get good (but cheap) materials, and a look at homeschool budgeting from the student’s point of view. So go ahead, start saving.
