Wordless{ish} Wednesday Writing Prompt: Someone’s at the Door.

In 45 words or less (you’ll see why I’ve upped the word count below), write the opening sentence(s) to a story based on the photo below. It can be humorous, scary, dramatic, or whatever you like. Just write your sentence in the comments section, and I’ll pick a winner by next Monday. (Feel free to share this prompt with others via twitter or Facebook.)

To make this a little more fun this week, I’m adding the challenge of working the words Someone’s at the Door into the story, whether through dialogue or narrative. It’s not required to participate in the writing prompt challenge, but I will give extra points to those who work it in. I’m also upping the word count in order to give you guys more flexibility with your sentences.

Happy Writing!

So, it’s apartment E3. Ben watched her go in with her kid – his kid. She can’t hide him any longer. He’s found her now. He waits until no one is around. He walks to the door and knocks. “Mom, someone’s at the door.”
