Wordless{ish} Wednesday: Writing Prompt

For this week’s Wordless{ish} post, I thought it’d be fun to offer up a little challenge for all you writers out there. The image of Spanish moss has always evoked both mystery and romance in my head, and the sight of it always gets the wheels in my head turning with a story. Hopefully, it will inspire a great story in your head as well.

The Challenge: In 30 words or less, write the opening sentence to a story based on the photo below. It can be humorous, scary, dramatic, or whatever you like. Just write your sentence in the comments section below, and I’ll pick a winner by next Monday.

Happy Writing!

Audrey gazed at the beauty before her and wondered whether she should venture ahead. It was so inviting, but she was never supposed to go there.
