Raising a baby can be hard enough without the added expense of all the items they require. To save a bundle on diaper-changing supplies, try this recipe for homemade baby wipes from the The Duggars, aka the stars of 19 Kids and Counting:
A roll of Bounty brand paper towels
2 cups of water
2 tablespoons of baby oil
1 tablespoon of rubbing alcohol
1-gallon ice cream bucket (including lid)
1 tablespoon of baby bubble bath or shampoo (optional)
Cut the roll of paper towels in half with an electric knife (if you have one) and place it in the ice cream bucket. Mix the water, baby oil, rubbing alcohol in a large measuring bowl and pour over paper towels and let soak for half an hour. Remove the cardboard center and feed the top corner of the paper towels through an X-shaped hole you’ve cut into the ice cream bucket lid. Then when it’s time for a diaper change or cleaning up baby after a meal, simply tear off one wipe at a time.
This is also great to keep in your car if you travel and eat on the road a lot. Makes clean up from sticky fingers very easy and you don’t throw good money away on expensive wet naps.
