Pay less at the Pump

With gas prices constantly on the rise, it’s important to take matters into your own hands to ensure that you make the most of your gas mileage. Did you know that a clogged air filter can decrease your fuel efficiency by up to 10%? Reference the owner’s manual for instructions about how to locate and replace your old air filter. Never top off, the extra gas will either swell and leak out or evaporate and make sure your gas cap is tight before you drive away from the pump. Also, try to fill up on a weekday, after prices come down from weekend travel. Research has found that gas stations tend to change their prices between 10am and 12pm, so fill up in the early morning if gas prices are climbing or late afternoon is they are descending to get the best price.
